Winter Solstice

December 21st: The winter solstice, shortest day of the year.

This is also my shortest post of the year. Serendipity? Or synchronicity?

  1. Short, snappy and to the point. In other words - concise! Happy Solstice to you, too!

  2. Thanks, Tarleisio, and all the best to you and yours.

Not that I'm Wiccan or Pagan or anything, but over the last 20 years I've distanced myself from religious traditions of all kinds, choosing instead to celebrate things that actually make sense. It's no coincidence that the Summer and Winter Solstices and Spring and Autumn Equinoxes are among the things I do celebrate.

In a couple of days, I'll post a short commentary on why Christmas sucks, and link to a short article I wrote last year. Until then, Harry Kwanukkahmas.
